David Reed M.I.M.I.
David’s association with Aston Martins started in 1978 when he purchased a DB2/4 Mk I.
This made way for a DB2 drophead which was mechanically overhauled and competed in AMOC events with some success.
It was replaced with a DB2 which again was restored and competed, winning several awards.
David also helps prepare his father’s DB2/4 Mk III which he has driven to innumerable class wins and race victories.
Since 1996 he has owned a very well known DB4, (Registration 3 BYR), which has been competed in British and
European events since the 1960’s.

This car has been extensively overhauled by David
and has set new class and lap records driven by David and his wife, Anne.
Since the early 80’s,
David has carried out engine rebuilds, race modification's etc to Astons on a part time basis.
Since leaving a company manufacturing air conditioning units, as a production engineer,
he has worked for a company specialising in classic car restoration and race preparation.
The company ran a number of racing Aston Martins and Ferrari’s for customers. He then left
to set up DAVRON with Ron Washer.
