Curbrough - May 27th 2007

Pre-Wars
.

Curbrough started wet and stayed raining all day. For the pre-wars, to add to their problems, when they left the start line, all the water on the bonnet came back to land in their lap!

The Campbells truck was a welcome 'dry place'. Tim Stamper, Chris Lendrum, Tony Risely and the Campbells taking advantage.

The Davron trailer was another good 'lunch spot'. Briony Serrell, David and Anne Reed, Brian Fearn and Willie Verdon-Smith. Briony with her pink wellies.

The Prize Winners:

David Such in his V8.

Alan Collett his V8. He nearly won the how much grass can you bring back into the paddock (see photo below) but was beaten by Mike Wadsworth. Both of them went flying off the course after the finish line, they were going so fast, they could not make the corner to take you back to the starting line.

Alan Wheatley in his DB2. Alan also went off the track on the first corner. His excuse... 'The track twitched'!

Anne Reed in the DB2.

I think most of the competitors fell off the track at regular intervals throughout the day. A big thank you to all the marshalls who had to tidy up the track after us!
