![]() Silverstone - June 2nd 2007 The Pre-war cars in the paddock. David and Anne Reed had an unsuccessful day with their DB2. Following a reasonable practice, the car would not behave with the car fluffing through every gear. Both started their races, David in the UBS Historic and Anne in the 50's series but had to come in after 8 and 3 laps respectively. Doug and Graham Barker had a much better day. Doug in the DB2/4 came 8th in the UBS Historic Championship, winning his class. Graham was 15th in the same race. In the 50's Series, Doug came 10th and Graham 19th. The lunchtime parade celebrated the 50th birthday of the DB MkIII cars along with 007 astons. Kerry Wilson took Bob White's car up for the parade. Bob is still very ill in hospital. We hope the photos we took to show his car looking good there will help bring a smile to his face. Astons not taking part in the parade were parked in the usual display area. The club shop seemed to be very busy. This year the club shop was next to the UBS Hospitality Marquee. There was a lovely area of cars parked beside it. AMOC members had access to the Brooklands Suite. Many enjoyed their complimentary glass of Tattinger champagne while catching up with fellow members and enjoying the racing from the balcony. Pete, one of the Davron mechanics, had been working hard on the reed DB2 along with the Barkers 2 cars all day. He had a well earned rest on the way home Photos - Anne Reed
