Lining up in the Holding Paddock On the track. After the race, the drivers discuss who went where on the track.... David Reed won his class. He was 26 seconds ahead of the next saloon car. Bonnets up on all the cars to let them cool down. The AMOC car park had been moved from grass onto hard standing due to the waterlogging of the ground during the previous week. We were moved from the inner part of the circuit to just outside one of the bridges. This meant that the club shop had poor sales. However, the rain from 7pm Saturday to 5am Sunday meant we would have had dreadful problems if we had not been moved. On Saturday 53 cars were booked in and 60 on Sunday. The photo below is from Saturday. Pictures of some of the other cars either being displayed or raced. Wandering amongst these le man cars on Friday evening, I was able to have a chat with Derek Bell.
